Puerto de Dover

Los dos principales puertos británicos anunciaron su cierre ayer por la por la noche, después de que Francia impusiera restricciones de viaje al Reino Unido debido al brote de una nueva cepa de coronavirus. Está previsto que el Eurotúnel de Folkestone permanezca cerrado durante al menos 48 horas. Igualmente, el puerto de Dover ha anunciado que su terminal de ferry estará cerrada a todo el tráfico acompañado que salga del Reino Unido hasta nuevo aviso.

El Secretario de Transporte británico, Grant Shapps, ha hecho un llamamiento al público en general y a  los transportistas en particular para que no viajen a los puertos de Kent u otras rutas a Francia durante las próximas 48 horas, ya que se espera un bloqueo significativo del tráfico en esa zona.
