Con la puesta en marcha de CETM MULTIMODAL se da respuesta a las necesidades planteadas por los asociados de la CETM de fomentar la multimodalidad para mejorar la competitividad del sector y enfocar así un futuro en el que la sociedad demanda eficiencia y sostenibilidad en el transporte de mercancías, aplicando criterios medioambientales. Los objetivos más importantes de la asociación son propugnar un nuevo modelo de cadena de suministro basado en la colaboración leal entre modos, fomentar la transparencia y la productividad y la calidad de servicio, eliminar las trabas administrativas y flexibilizar los sistemas ferroviario y marítimo, entre otros.

CETM Multimodal ha creado una nueva aplicación para ayudar a los operadores que utilicen más de un modo de transporte a saber cuál es la mejor opción para llegar de un punto a otro, teniendo en cuenta toda la oferta de navieras, compañías ferroviarias y el camión.
